Windows Update Error Code 80070005 Vista Home Premium

Hi All,

Recently (within 6 days, as that is the last successful update), I have been receiving the message "Windows could not search for new updates" when I push check for updates in Windows Update. My account has administrator priveleges, I have tried updating with my firewall and AV software disabled to no avail. I am assuming it was a recent update that has caused this problem.

Windows update reports that the Error Code is 80070005. From scouring the internet I know that this has something to do with permissions but I haven't been able to find any solutions.

Any help with this is GREATLY appreciated!
